I was there too, Mama. But I found the way.

I used to wake up dreading the day ahead. In fact, I let this go on much too long. As an educator I know how important my relationships with my children are. I knew it was up to me to improve things – I owed it to my beautiful children. I knew things were getting bad. I knew their behaviour was getting worse and worse. My dreams of a lovely, nurturing, peaceful childhood for them were vanishing by the day.

But I didn’t know what to do about it.
The day it all changed for me … and how it will for you too.
One day, I decided I was going to make things change. I remember laying in bed feeling so sad. So exhausted and deflated. I remember so vividly thinking, “tomorrow I will do one thing, one single thing, to begin making things better.”

And I did.

That car was loaded up by 8:30 the next morning with the kids – snowsuits and all. Nothing was stopping me this time. Out to the library we all went where I gathered every single ‘Gentle Parenting’, ‘Attachment Parenting’ and ‘Waldorf Parenting’ book I could.

I devoured those books. And the next batch too.

I grew empowered. Empowered to change my current situation.

And I did.

The two key things that changed everything?  Quiet Time and Connecting Time. 

Now I have shared with you a lot about quiet time in my other eBooks. All about how to make it run smooth and easy. But for quiet time to work – for it to be fully embraced, we also need Connecting Time.

I started implementing these things, giving our days a peaceful rhythm and everything changed.

They changed!
